This diver held the underwater breath for 24 minutes 33 seconds, created a world record
A Croatian diver set a new world record by holding his breath underwater for 24 minutes 33 seconds. 54-year-old Budimir Buda Sobat broke his own old record while doing this adventure. Sobat is already a Guinness World Record holder, but over the weekend he managed to hold his breath underwater for 24 minutes and 33 seconds.
He set his new world record in a swimming pool in the city of Sisak. During this time, Dob, doctors, journalists and supporters were present to supervise him. Significantly, Sobat, a former bodybuilder, embraced static diving by removing his body building obsession and soon became one of the top 10 divers in the world. He had earlier registered his name in the Guinness Record three years ago by holding breath under water for 24 minutes.
According to the news of the Daily Mail , the special thing is that this time Sobat was allowed to take clean oxygen 30 minutes earlier to increase body oxygen, which was not available before. But even if they have received clean oxygen before, static apnea is a big risk for anyone. Especially for the human brain, which does not get normal levels of oxygen inside water. Please tell that after 18 minutes, Sobat also started facing many problems due to lack of oxygen.
According to Sobat, his 20-year-old daughter Sasa inspires him to do something different and new. Sasa suffers from autism and epileptic seizures since childhood. Sobat now wants to help those seriously affected by the severe earthquake that hit Croatia in December 2020 with the money collected through it.
